Adsense is making a huge impact on today’s affiliate marketing industry.

Because of this, weak affiliate merchants are fading faster than ever and their ad networks are losing their customers quickly. If you are in a losing affiliate program, maybe it is time to consider getting into Adsense marketing and start earning some real cash.

Google is readily providing well written and highly relevant ads that are tightly targeted to match the content on your pages. You don’t have to look for them as the search engine will be the doing the searching for you.

You don’t have to spend time choosing different kinds of ads for different pages and different codes for different affiliate programs. You will be able to concentrate on providing good, quality content while the search engines find the best matching ads to put on your pages.

You can add Adsense ads even if you already have affiliate links on your site. It is prohibited, however, to imitate the look and feel of the Adsense ads for your affiliate links.

You can filter up to 200 URLs, enabling you to block ads for the sites that do not meet your guidelines. You can also block competitors, though it is unavoidable that Adsense may be competing for some space on web sites that other revenues are sharing.

As a webmaster, you can plug a bit of Adsense code into your sites and have relevant text ads that appeal to your visitors appear almost instantly on your pages. Even if you own many sites, you only need to apply for and use one Adsense account as opposed to applying to many different affiliate programs.

The only way to know how much you can earn with Adsense is to try it and see. If you want out, all you have to do is remove the code from your site.

The rate of payment can vary extremely. How much you receive per click depends upon how much advertisers are paying per click to advertise. Advertisers pay from as little as 5 cents to as much as 10 to 12 dollars, sometimes even more. You will be earning a share of that money generated from visitor clickthrough.

If your results are stagnant, it can help if you try and build simple, uncluttered pages so the ads will be more visible to your visitor.

Sometimes it pays to differ from the usual things that people are already doing. It’s also refreshing to your visitor when they see something different for a change.

Publishers have the option of choosing to have their ads displayed only on a certain site or sites. It is also allowed to have them displayed on a large network of sites. The choice will depend upon what you determine will work best and to your website’s advantage.

To get an idea if some Adsense ads you see on the search engines might work on your pages, try to find web pages that have similar material to the content you are planning to create.

Take a good look at the Adsense ads served on those pages to see if they could work on your site, too. Think of it as doing yourself a favor by not having to work too hard to know what Adsense results your content might have.

With all the information you need at your fingertips, all you have to do is use it and turn it into revenue. It all boils down to a win-win situation for both the content site owners and the Adsense publishers.

Google, being an undisputed leader in search engines, places a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things with Adsense and other forms of advertising, whether intentional or unintentional, may result in a severe penalty of getting your site banned, or even having your account terminated.

For those who are thinking of starting an Adsense method, make sure you read and understand the Google Adsense Terms of Service!

Here are some of the more critical things to avoid:

Don’t use ‘hidden’ texts on your pages – Filling your advertisement pages with text that is too small to read, or is the same color as the background, or using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keyword content and copy will earn you a penalty.

Don’t use ‘page cloaking’ – There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots a different page other than the actual page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking visitors into clicking to somewhere you want them to go, but somewhere they may not have wanted to go.

Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense page as two separate URL’s will invoke penalties and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions.

Better to first check and see if your domain is already listed on a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.

Don’t create ‘Link Farms’ – Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense pages to. The search engines know that you cannot control who links to your site, but you can certainly control where you link yours to.

Link farming has always been frowned upon in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to avoid them. Having too many links on a single page can classify you as a link farm, so don’t overdo it with your links.

Page rank for sale – If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get banned from the search engines.

Don’t use ‘Doorways’ – These are similar to page cloaking. The common practice of loading a page with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many SEO firms offering this kind of service, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content – In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domain IP’s, registry dates, and many other factors when determining website quality and originality. Having multiple domains with the same exact content is not something you can hide from them.

The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages and sub-domains, or forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Many of the above examples apply to all search engines, not only to Google. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for human users and not for bots, you can be assured of great things for your ads and sites, not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.
